Full of Feelings....

So, Tim will be home early Sunday morning from Haiti. I am so excited to see him, hear all the stories, and just be near him again. I cannot wait. This has been one of the longest weeks ever!

I am also so sad that Tim will have to leave Isaiah. I hate for him to finally start to feel comfortable with Tim and them loose him. I hate for him to be at the Orphanage. If only we could take turns being there for a few weeks at a time.....

I am so grateful for Isaiah's mom. I don't know if she will ever know how thankful we are to have the opportunity to parent Isaiah. I pray for her daily. It takes a very special woman to place their child willingly. I pray that one day when we go back as a family, we are able to reconnect with her!

Next, we moved, I feel as though I have been living in a hotel for the last week and a half. My new home, all the while a huge blessing, just doesn't feel like home yet. Maybe it is because Tim isn't here, maybe it is because I am not unpacked, I don't know.... I am just thankful, and feel very blessed to have the Lord on my side. We don't deserve anything that we have, yet for some reason, God keeps on giving to us. I am totally in AWE of him and his love for us.

Now on to the MAD part. Since we moved, we had several large trash bags of cans that we left on the side of our home. I had left that and a few other things to go back and pick up. Well, I went the other day, and someone has taken all our cans. I know for those of you who don't know, but those were part of our fundraising efforts. UGGGGGG the nerve of people. (by the way Jeremy and Michelle, Thanks a bunch for the cans!! Todd just dropped them off tonight, and they couldn't have come at a better time! I promise not to let them get stolen!!)

Any how, my final feeling is overwhelming peace about our adoption. Tim just got the paperwork completed in Haiti this week, and I can honestly say that I have complete peace. I truly believe that Isaiah will be home by Late summer. I know that this sounds crazy, but God is speaking to my heart. I am praying hard, and choosing to believe that what I feel in my heart is going to happen. God is amazing, and can accomplish anything. I also believe that since we started this adoption after a lot of people, that other children will need to come home first. With that said, I believe that children will start coming home by March! Please pray with me. If we are all praying together, all the better!

Tim and Haiti

Just a quick note to let everyone who knew that my Husband Tim was going to Haiti this week, he made it. I have heard from him twice via email, and from what I read, he is loving it!!! He went to our DHS appointment today, and everything went well, the birth mom came and hopefully we will be in IBESR by the end of the week!!! Praise God for Tim's good time and bonding with friends, some new and some old. He really likes a couple of guys at the O and one of the boys at the guest house. I am so happy for him and His experience. Please pray that his week continues to be blessed, and full of positive experiences. Thanks for all who are praying!

To a very special person who.....

Sent us a beautiful card from our wonderful son Isaiah!!!!! I love you for what you did! Christmas has been very hard this year, and that card has made all the difference! Thank You for the Best Gift we could have been given this year!

National Adoption Month, 2007 A Proclamation By the President of the United States of America

During National Adoption Month, we recognize the adoptive and foster families who have shared their homes and hearts with children in need, and we encourage more Americans to consider adopting young people of all ages.

Families who adopt show the generous spirit of our Nation. Every child desires a permanent home, and when parents adopt a child to love as their own, lives are forever changed. For parents, the decision to adopt a child is among life's greatest and happiest turning points. On November 17, families across the country will celebrate National Adoption Day by finalizing their adoptions, and each one of these homes will be richer for the addition of new family members.

My Administration is committed to promoting adoption of children of all ages. We are working to bring together more children with loving, adoptive parents through the Collaboration to AdoptUsKids at adoptuskids.org and by providing States with financial assistance through the Adoption Incentives Program. The Promoting Safe and Stable Families Program helps improve care and services to children and families and ensure more young people in America have a caring, secure, and permanent home. Together, these efforts are building a brighter future for our youth.

During National Adoption Month, we honor adoptive and foster parents as they raise children of conviction and character. By accepting the gift of these children, parents are helping shape lives and contributing to the strength of our great Nation.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim November 2007 as National Adoption Month. I call upon all Americans to observe this month with appropriate programs and activities to honor adoptive families and to participate in efforts to find permanent homes for waiting children.
